WHAT IS THE SHOW?
 There seems to be no end to the appeal of Tannie Evita's blonde
 sussie! After her controversial appearance at the recent Grahamstown
 National Arts Festival and her legendary Sunday-night soirees at the
 Intimate Theatre in Cape Town during 2008, BAMBI IN KABARET will give
 three special performance in Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Darling.
 
Tannie Evita Bezuidenhout will not be on stage with her. The two
 women are sworn enemies and have never been seen in the same place
 at the same time. And for good reason.
 
Whereas Evita is proper in all aspects, Bambi is not. The former
 stripper/sex worker/prono-star now runs her internationally-known wine
 cellar in Paarl - with 'special offers' on weekends.
 
With her Nazi husband's ashes in an urn on the piano, Bambi sings about
 love and confides about life. Not for the squeamish or the proper, this
 cabaret features songs by Kurt Weill and Stephen Sondheim, as well as
 a selection of familiar Afrikaans liedjies reinvented to suit the mood.
 
Godfrey Johnson brings some real singing talent to the event and his
 arrangements of Bambi's songs are a delight and an essential part of
 the experience.
